Frank Werner
30 years of experience in fine art photography, fine art printing and high-end digital imaging
Frank is a fine art photographer with a focus on landscape and architecture and a high-end digital imaging consultant.
Learned photography on the streets of Paris and Los Angeles and has been working as a photographer for over 30 years. He holds a degree in business informatics and worked for many years in one of the largest German banks as a project manager for new media technologies.
In 2000, he founded his digital imaging consultancy extreme visual media, with which he has since advised over 4000 clients, professional photographers, studios, companies, but also dedicated amateurs in the digital photographic workflow with all its facets. His clients include companies such as Ebay, Swarovski, s.Oliver, world-famous museums such as the Munich Pinakothek, the Dresden Zwinger or the Natural History Museum in Berlin, as well as the German Journalists’ Association, television stations such as ZDF, BR or Pro7 and thousands more.
He is probably Europe’s only consultant and trainer who holds a Phase One Certified Pro certification and is an expert in Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, color management, focus stacking, panoramic photography, fine art printing and IT hardware for image processing, video editing and AI applications in addition to Capture One.
Cornelia and Frank Werner founded PixelComputer e.K. in 2012, an IT system house specifically for all creative professionals in the fields of photography, video, 3D, AI and Autodesk applications.
Thanks to these many years of experience, he is probably the most recognized digital imaging consultant and also benefits from his work in the field of high-end photography.
He first worked in the fine art beauty sector before his penchant for perfectionism and high-quality technology led him to fine art landscape and architectural photography. His love of Italy took him to Venice for a year during the coronavirus pandemic, where he was able to capture the deserted Venice in his paintings. His second love is Tuscany in spring and fall, where he captures some of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe in a very small area with the most interesting weather.
Franks Fine-Art Photography Equipment
Phase One, ALPA, Rodenstock, Fuji GFX
Frank works with the world’s best and most sophisticated photographic equipment for fine art landscape and architectural photography. This enables him to achieve a unique image quality that allows him to print his images in sizes up to 500 cm in perfect quality.
As he owns all the equipment himself and doesn’t just hire it for a job, he is an expert in these systems. His company PixelComputer is also probably the only Phase One and ALPA dealer in Germany with a photographer who has years of experience in practical work with these systems.
